Empty Spaces | All my doubts revolves around some of my personal planets and ASC. I have moon/ASC in gemini (western) Taurus moon/ASC (vedic) I dont think either of them is completely right cuz i feel like im the mix of both. Most likely taurus moon, gemini ascendant. No quite sure but definetely its a 50/50 thing. Then some people say well thats pretty simple, perhaps you have gemini moon and taurus ASC in western. Well....is no possible cuz i checked my birth time certificate and even if is not a completely 100% accurate thing i will have to change like an hour to modify them. I have strong taurus/gemini traits in my personality but in western i have no planets in the bull sign to explain it or aspects.Only mars in the second house but thats not enough. In vedic i can see my bull traits BUT i only have gemini in mars and trust me i dont act like people with this placement.Besides that my mars in cancer (western)describes pretty well. So see is pretty weird.URG im confused.Mercury is another problem but I will keep that to myself... I checked many things.Houses, aspects, the signs and i know this is not a easy thing to do cuz we have to understand from where the energy is coming..that demands time and can be a rollercoster of confusion. Anyway im curious.Your chart describes you perfectly?

DopGang | I am absolutely convinced that mine fits me perfectly. |
Mergoatsun | Mine seems a little off. I have different moons in Vedic and Western as well, my charts are completely different but combined seem to fit me well. My Vedic moon is Cancer, my Wester moon is Leo. I can see how Leo and Cancer moons are similar though.

Kannon McAfee | Empty Spaces, You could have Asc in Taurus. That is a common correction for chart with a supposed Asc in Gemini. IF Moon is very early in Gemini that could be bumped back into late Taurus with the Asc correction. The recorded moment of your delivery is not necessarily 100% accurate, and that moment (even if recorded exactly correct) is not synonymous with the correct Asc. The correct Asc degree is found within a 5-hour time window attached to the moment of delivery. Read this: http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/incarnation-process/ These cross-system comparisons never bring clarity, only confusion and arbitrary selection of one system over another. Stick with the tropical/western evaluation for now since that is what is most familiar culturally, and follow it all the way through to answers. Nothing wrong with Vedic, but don't expect pop Vedic books or websites to be any better than pop tropical.

Kannon McAfee | How about posting your chart with data. Then I might be able to create some clarity. You could take the chart/data down once you get enough responses. ------------------ Astrology & Natural Medicine blog |
Spongebob | I doubted mine for about five minutes years and years ago but honestly theres no real way its wrong, even my ascendant is correct. |
Selenite | I think my tropical chart is 100% on point. My vedic is weird - I'm a Scorpio Sun / Cancer AC, Venus Libra, Leo Mars, Aries Moon. In tropical it's Sag Sun, Leo AC, Venus Scorpio, Virgo Mars, Aries Moon. The thing is, I can see both as being correct. I'm just used to the first one.. That said, I tend to think of astrology as being as accurate as you make it. My birth chart is accurate to me because every time I read it searching for insight, I essentially pick something out that fills what I was looking to find and grow from, within myself. I personally don't think common interpretations are the way to go, if you're looking for any kind of accuracy. The way I make astrological conclusions is mostly based on my own experiences. I notice patterns with people's signs and their energy, and keep that connection for myself in my head. Of course, mythology plays a huge role in most interpretations, so sometimes it's just better to read about the mythology associated with the planets / signs, and draw conclusions about your chart based on that. |
Empty Spaces | Im busy now (at work)but I will reply your responses later. Thanks, all of you! Kannon i need to check your link.MY moon is 23 degrees and ASC 17 (gemini/western) Quick question.Does anyone here use the koch system?thats the only house system that explains my crazy-secretive-plutonic side. ------- PLEASE DONT QUOTE ♡ |

Kannon McAfee | I don't know if Randall will put this thread into Personal Readings if you post your chart, Empty Spaces. I doubt it. We're just talking about chart accuracy, not giving a reading. My own chart was pretty close to dead-on taken as is from the birth certificate. I had to adjust the Asc forward 2°. That is uncommon. Most charts need more adjustment than that to be accurate. But the accuracy was not determined by juggling it between house systems or different cultural systems of astrology. It was determined by looking at the whole array of declinations positions and seeing that what I know was a driving Martial tendency was found in Mars Parallel MC; also by seeing that Chiron is Parallel Asc. Some charts are like that. Their basic accuracy, or rectification cannot be determined without looking at the declinations which hold an average of 40% of the strongest parts of the aspect picture (angular aspects: conjunction/parallel, opposition/contra-parallel, squares). In other words, look first to the Asc itself by sign and aspect; then to Moon sign/aspect. You have to look at longitudes and declinations to see these. I don't use Koch for a reason. It is not as accurate as Placidus, and I cannot get accurate rectifications using it. So if you find that it seems to give a more accurate picture, it is because of the inaccuracy of your Asc degree, not other house systems. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Astrology & Natural Medicine blog |
Empty Spaces | Aw okay i will post then...thanks a lot! |

lol |
Empty Spaces | DopGang thanks for sharing Mergoatsun- Yeah they are very different charts. To be honest i dont like my vedic chart.5th ruler in 8th and vice-versa Among other things...scary! Hey what happens with moon-moon aspects for you then, in synastry? You do better with fire or water moons? Spongebob- thanks for sharing! ------ PLEASE dont quote!♡

Empty Spaces | Here they are: Besides the moon/ASC thing I was pretty convinced about my sun in 7th until yesterday but when i read this: http://www.8and12houses.com/writings/articles/sunintheeighthhouse
Feels like whole life where described there.Except from the death and abuse part.Thank Good!thats why i asked if koch works.I feel like a cap but with sun and perhaps even mercury in 8th you know?Yeah I have a crazy desire for romance but look to all that neptune, plus venus in pisces.
|
Empty Spaces | Wow Kannon never thought that was possible.Im surprised.I guess that explains why people have planets in my "8th/7th" and i dont feel anything.

Sorry,what do you mean? |
Kannon McAfee | There is no chance of Moon in Taurus with this chart. Moon at +/23 Gemini/23° North is Contra-parallel Sun & Uranus. Asc earlier in Gemini would be at 21°, Contra-parallel Neptune 21° south. You could also have Asc in late Taurus and still have Sun in 8th house, BUT such an Asc could be opposite Pluto 24SCO47. The main thing is to read descriptions of rising signs, like the ones at my site ... http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/#taurus ... and determine whether Taurus or Gemini clearly resonates, and trust your knowledge of yourself. Then it can be narrowed down from there. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Astrology & Natural Medicine blog |
Empty Spaces | First of all thank you very much for taking you time to look at my chart. Btw i checked so many sites lately and i checked yours too!GREAT site! I have a rectangular face, brown hair and eyes.Im short with a pale skin. -I hate surprises.I need to know exactly what is going on. MY ex boyfriend told me Im very calm but extremelly sttuborn. He didnt like that! I dont like to share my things.Im not proud of that but i have to be honest. Im very loyal.Patient and a good listener. Your description is great, especially the routine part.Totally me..but no long lashes,no beautiful voice hehe OMG this is so confusing. So now i need to create a new chart with a different hour? But i will never know the angles for sure? Even my birth chart is complicated.. |
Kannon McAfee | So Taurus rising. Yes, you can know the angles for sure. That's what I do. Fill out my rectification form at my site. It goes straight to my inbox. No obligation. I'll read your questionnaire answers and we'll go from there. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Astrology & Natural Medicine blog |
StubbornVirgo | |
Kannon McAfee | StubbornVirgo, Not seeing your chart, I can only point to some common sense possibilities here ... 1. You could have a watery planet, even the Moon Parallel or Contra-parallel Asc in Aquarius. Moon or Neptune. 2. You could have Lunar aspects, possibly in declination that you're not seeing in the flat wheel chart, which accentuate these more emotional aspects of your personality. 3. You could have Pisces rising. Very possible if recorded b.t. suggests 20+ Aqua. Curious what you think upon reading my description of Pisces rising. It probably still needs some polishing, but its pretty good ... https://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/#pisces ------------------ The Declinations Guy Astrology & Natural Medicine blog |
